The Conference Site and Venue

The conference will take place at the Lago Conferences & Events Center in Rishon Lezion that is only a forty minutes' drive from “Ben-Gurion” International Airport or Tel-Aviv, and an hour from Jerusalem and within easy reach of the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea.

Bus:
Egged lines # 6, 7, 8, 71, 95 – 21 א. Night time lines are 221, 273, 425, 336, 501. 
 
By car:
  • From South direction via Highway 4 - Shalom interchange turn right to the Ayalon Highway (20), exit Rishon LeZion - Moshe Dayan Boulevard, turn left West - Rechavam Zeevi / Moshe Dayan (441), after passing over the Ayalon Freeway (School of Firefighting, Superland, and YES Planet). 
  • From the North through Highway 4, exit to Rishon-West interchange, turn left to the west - Rehoboam Ze'evi / Moshe Dayan Boulevard (441). After passing over the Ayalon Freeway, turn left to Maryland Boulevard (Firefighters School, Superland, and YES Planet).
  • From the North through the Ayalon Highway exit at the Moshe Dayan interchange towards the exit to Rabin Bridge (parallel to the South Ayalon Highway), exit at the Rabin Bridge to the right to Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard.
  • From the East through Highway 431 - Highway 431 from the East connects to the Ayalon interchange to the North (20), exit at Moshe Dayan interchange, turn left to West - Rechavam Ze'evi Boulevard / Moshe Dayan (441), after passing over the Ayalon Freeway, turn left onto Maryland Boulevard (Firefighters School, Superland, and Yes Planet).

Language

The official language of the Conference is English.

Travel

Ben Gurion International Airport (BGIA), located just off the road linking Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, is one of the busiest airports in the Middle East. Many major international airlines arrive at and depart from BGIA with increasing frequency.

Climate and Closing

November is early winter in Israel. Temperatures in Tel Aviv range between 15 - 25°C / 60 - 75°F. Rain is possible. Dress will be informal throughout the Conference. In addition, modest dress appropriate for visits to religious sites is recommended.

Currency

The unit of currency in Israel is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS) commonly known as the Shekel. Approximate currency rates as follows:
US $ 1 = NIS 3.6 Euro € 1 = NIS 4.0
There are no restrictions on transfer and use of foreign currencies in Israel.
Most international credit cards are accepted.

Electricity

Electricity in Israel is supplied at 220V, 50Hz and has a three-pin connecting plug.

Value Added Tax Reimbursement

According to the Value Added Tax (VAT) Law, a foreign tourist is able to benefit from a zero rate of VAT on a vast array of services obtained during a stay in Israel. In addition, a special arrangement exists whereby a tourist may also request a VAT refund on purchases made during a stay.
